About the App
SkilletLog is an iOS app for cast iron skillet collectors. From identification fields (pattern number, gate mark, logo style, heat ring) to restoration logs, wishlist duplicate-checking, and shareable cards for “what is this?” questions — everything the hobby needs, in one place.
All data you save stays on your device. Nothing is sent to external servers.

- Cast Iron Ledger — Brand (Griswold, Wagner, Lodge, Birmingham Stove & Range, Vollrath, Favorite, Wapak, or unmarked/other), size number, pattern letter/number, molder’s mark, gate mark, logo style, heat ring (with notch count and positions), rust condition, carbon buildup, seasoning state, status (collecting / restoring / let go), source, purchase price and date, and estimated value. Free up to 20 pieces.
- Restoration Log — Record electrolysis (solution, duration, voltage), seasoning (oil, rounds, temperature, duration), and cleaning sessions per piece, with before-and-after photos and a timeline view. Always free.
- “What Is This?” Share Card — Turns what you’ve actually observed — gate mark, pattern number, logo style, heat ring — into a clean card you can post to ask a collector community for a second opinion. The app never guesses the brand or era for you; it just organizes your observations.
- New Addition & Restoration Share Cards — Celebrate a new piece joining your collection, or a finished restoration with before/after photos. Free with a watermark; Pro removes it.
- Collection Overview Share Card — Hand-pick up to 9 pieces and share a grid of your collection.
- Wishlist — Track what you’re hunting for: brand, size, budget, priority, and notes. No limit, even on the free tier.
- Duplicate Check — Search your collection and wishlist at once before buying — handy at a flea market or estate sale when you can’t remember if you already own that size.
- Stats — Brand breakdown chart, total pieces, and total collection value, in your choice of currency.
- Data Export & Import — Export a ZIP with your collection, photos, restore logs, and wishlist (plus a PDF report). Import a previous ZIP to append data. Always free; the free tier still caps at 20 pieces when importing.

FAQ
Q. Does SkilletLog tell me if my skillet is a real Griswold or a fake?
No. SkilletLog does not judge authenticity or identify brands/eras automatically. Gate marks and other markings are not reliable proof of authenticity on their own — a bottom gate mark can even be a red flag for some brands. Instead, the app helps you record exactly what you observe and share it with a collector community (like r/castiron) so real people can weigh in.
Q. What is the Duplicate Check for?
It searches both your collection and your wishlist at once by brand or size, so you can quickly confirm whether you already own or want a piece before buying — useful when you’re standing at a flea market table.
Q. What restoration details can I log?
Electrolysis (solution, duration, voltage), seasoning (oil, number of rounds, temperature, duration), and cleaning (material used), each with before-and-after photos. All entries appear on a timeline per piece.
Q. Where is my data stored?
Everything is saved locally on your iPhone. No uploads to the cloud or external servers.
Q. Can I purchase Pro anytime?
Yes. Open Settings in the app to purchase at any time. It’s a one-time purchase — no recurring fees.
Q. How do I restore a previous Pro purchase?
Tap Restore Purchases in Settings. Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID.
Q. Can I export my data?
Yes, and it’s free regardless of whether you’ve purchased Pro. Go to Settings → Data to export a ZIP (collection + photos + logs) or a PDF summary report.
Q. Can I import a backup?
Yes. In Settings → Data → Import data, choose a SkilletLog ZIP. Data is appended (existing entries are kept). On the free tier, imports stop once you reach 20 pieces; remaining pieces in the file are skipped.
Q. Can I sync across multiple iPhones or iPads?
Not at this time. Data is stored locally on each device only. Your data stays safely on the device you use.

Q. 自分のスキレットが本物のGriswoldかどうか判定してくれますか？
いいえ。SkilletLogは真贋判定やブランド・年代の自動判定は行いません。ゲートマークなどの刻印だけでは真贋の証明にはならず、底面のゲートマークがむしろ注意サインになるブランドもあります。そのため本アプリは、実際に観察した情報を正確に記録し、r/castironのようなコレクターコミュニティに相談しやすい形で共有することに特化しています。
Q. 重複チェックとはどんな機能ですか？
ブランドやサイズで、手持ちのコレクションとウィッシュリストを同時に検索できる機能です。フリマのテーブルの前で「これもう持ってたかも」をすぐ確認できます。
Q. レストアではどんな情報を記録できますか？
電解（溶液・時間・電圧）、シーズニング（オイル・回数・温度・時間）、クリーニング（使用素材）を、それぞれビフォーアフター写真つきで記録できます。すべてピースごとのタイムラインに表示されます。
Q. 保存したデータはどこに保管されますか？
すべてあなたの iPhone 内（端末ローカル）に保存されます。クラウドや外部サーバーへのアップロードは行いません。
Q. Pro はいつでも購入できますか？
はい。アプリ内の「設定」画面からいつでもご購入いただけます。買い切りのため、一度購入すれば追加費用なくずっとご利用いただけます。
Q. 以前購入した Pro を復元するには？
「設定」画面内の「購入を復元」から復元できます。同じ Apple ID でサインインした状態でお試しください。
Q. データはエクスポートできますか？
はい、Proの購入有無に関わらず無料でご利用いただけます。「設定」→「データ」から、コレクションと写真を含むZIP、またはPDFサマリーレポートを書き出せます。
Q. バックアップをインポートできますか？
はい。「設定」→「データ」→「データをインポート」からSkilletLogのZIPを選択してください。既存データは残したまま追記されます。無料版では登録上限（20点）に達した時点で取り込みを止め、残りはスキップします。
Q. 複数の iPhone や iPad で同期できますか？
現在はローカル保存のみで、端末間の同期には対応していません。データはすべてお使いの端末内に安全に保管されます。
