About the App
RatteryLog is an iOS app for fancy rat breeders and rattery keepers. Register rats with AFRMA-standard color, marking, coat, and ear fields, pair them up, and record litters — the pedigree tree builds itself automatically from parent links, and likely offspring colors are predicted from AFRMA’s official WHAT IF chart.
All rat records you save stay on your device. We do not upload them to our servers.
Features
- Rat Profiles — Name, sex, birth date, status, AFRMA-standard base color (plus a custom color field), marking, coat, ear, and tail type, acquisition source, sire/dam links, notes, and photo. Free up to 25 rats total, counting rehomed pups.
- Auto-Built Pedigree Tree — Linking a sire and dam builds the pedigree automatically, up to 4 generations back. Unknown ancestors can carry a name-only note (e.g. an outside breeder’s rat), and a repeated common ancestor is flagged.
- Color Prediction — Pick a sire and dam and see the offspring colors AFRMA’s official WHAT IF chart predicts. Reference only — it doesn’t guarantee actual litter colors.
- Pairings & Due-Date Tracking — Log a pairing date and get an automatic gestation due-date window.
- Litters & Batch Pup Registration — Record live/stillborn counts and a memo, then register pups in one form (name and sex). Color, marking, coat, and ear can be added later on each rat.
- Predicted vs. Actual — If you ran color prediction on the pairing, then registered the litter’s pups, see how the actual colors born compare to that forecast.
- Placements — Record where each pup went: destination type, price, handover date, destination note, and a follow-up note.
- Achievements — 8 milestone badges, from your first rat to spotting a common ancestor in a pedigree.
- Pedigree & Litter PDF Export — Export a formal pedigree certificate or a litter report as a PDF, ready to print or hand to a new owner.
- Share Cards — Generate a new-litter card, a pedigree card, or a rattery-stats card as a shareable image and send it from the system share sheet. Free version carries a small watermark; Pro removes it and adds your rattery’s mark and accent color.
- Color Reference Chart — A searchable in-app reference of AFRMA’s WHAT IF chart, transcribed and verified cell by cell.
- Rattery Stats — Total rats, litters, pups, and color varieties, plus a litter-trend chart (3 months / 1 year / all time). The rattery-stats share card also shows litters this year.
- ZIP Backup & Restore — Export every record as CSV plus your photos in one ZIP file, and restore from a ZIP without overwriting what’s already there. Free for everyone.

- Free — Up to 25 rats total (including rehomed pups — the limit counts every rat you’ve registered, not just the ones currently with you). Pedigree tree, color prediction, pairings, litters, placements, achievements, PDF export, share cards (with watermark), and ZIP backup are all included.
- RatteryLog Pro (one-time purchase) — Unlimited rats, share cards without the watermark, and your rattery’s own mark and accent color on share cards.

FAQ
Q. What is the color prediction tool?
Pick a sire and dam and RatteryLog shows the offspring colors AFRMA’s official “WHAT IF” chart predicts for that pairing, with a likelihood tag. It’s a reference tool built from AFRMA’s published chart — not a guarantee of what any particular litter will look like.
Q. How does the free 25-rat limit work?
It counts every rat you’ve registered and still have on file — including ones you’ve since rehomed, retired, or lost — not just rats currently in your care. Deleting a rat’s record frees up a slot.
Q. How many generations does the pedigree tree show?
Up to 4 generations, built automatically as you link each rat’s sire and dam. If an ancestor isn’t in your records — say, a rat from another rattery — you can still note its name so the tree isn’t left blank.
Q. Where is my data stored?
Everything is saved locally on your device. Rat records are not uploaded to the cloud or our servers, and no account is required. The app may use the network for purchases (RevenueCat / Apple), when you open support or privacy links, request a review, or export a PDF.
Q. Can I purchase Pro anytime?
Yes. Open Settings in the app to purchase at any time. It’s a one-time purchase — no recurring fees.
Q. How do I restore a previous Pro purchase?
Tap Restore Purchases in Settings. Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID.
Q. Can I back up or move my data?
Yes. Settings → Export ZIP backup saves every record as CSV plus your photos in one ZIP file. Settings → Restore from ZIP adds records from a backup without overwriting what’s already there.
Q. Can I sync across multiple iPhones or iPads?
Not at this time. Data is stored locally on each device only. Use the ZIP backup to move records between devices manually.

保存した個体記録と写真は、あなたのデバイス内に保管されます。当社サーバーへアップロードすることはありません。

Q. カラー予測とはどんな機能ですか？
オス親・メス親を選ぶと、AFRMA公式の「WHAT IF」チャートに基づいて、そのペアリングから生まれやすいカラーを可能性の高さつきで表示する機能です。AFRMAが公開しているチャートをもとにした参考ツールであり、実際のlitterのカラーを保証するものではありません。
Q. 無料版の25匹という上限はどうカウントされますか？
これまでに登録して記録に残っている個体すべてが対象です。里子に出した子・引退した子・亡くなった子も含み、現在手元にいる頭数だけではありません。個体を削除すると、その分の枠は空きます。
Q. 血統ツリーは何世代まで表示できますか？
オス親・メス親を紐づけていくことで、最大4世代まで自動で表示されます。他のラッテリーから迎えた個体など、記録がない祖先については、名前だけのメモを残すこともできます。
Q. 保存したデータはどこに保管されますか？
すべてあなたの端末内（ローカル）に保存されます。個体記録をクラウドや当社サーバーへアップロードすることはなく、アカウント登録も不要です。課金処理（RevenueCat / Apple）、サポート／プライバシーページ、レビュー、PDF書き出しでは通信することがあります。
Q. Proはいつでも購入できますか？
はい。アプリ内の「設定」画面からいつでもご購入いただけます。買い切りのため、一度購入すれば追加費用なくずっとご利用いただけます。
Q. 以前購入したProを復元するには？
「設定」画面内の「購入を復元」から復元できます。同じApple IDでサインインした状態でお試しください。
Q. データのバックアップや引っ越しはできますか？
できます。「設定」→「ZIPバックアップ」で、全データをCSVと写真ひとまとめのZIPファイルとして保存できます。「設定」→「ZIPから復元」で、既存データを上書きせずに追加復元できます。
Q. 複数のiPhoneやiPadで同期できますか？
現在はローカル保存のみで、端末間の自動同期には対応していません。ZIPバックアップを使って手動でデータを移すことができます。
