About the App

HideLog is an iOS app for leathercrafters. Track every hide and material in your stash, log every project from cutting to finishing, and know your true material cost — including a suggested Etsy selling price. Built for people who outgrew their leather spreadsheet.

All data you save stays on your device. Nothing is sent to external servers.

Handcrafted Card — Generate a customer-facing card listing the materials used, for handmade orders and commissions.

Free — Up to 5 projects. Unlimited materials, tools, and wishlist items. Cost calculation, suggested selling price, auto stock deduction, pattern storage, CSV/ZIP export, and data import are all included for free. Share cards always carry a “Tracked with HideLog” watermark.
HideLog Pro (one-time purchase, $6.99) — Unlimited projects and the option to turn off the share card watermark. No subscription, no recurring fees.

FAQ

Q. What’s the difference between Free and Pro?

Free includes everything except two things: you can register up to 5 projects, and share cards always show the “Tracked with HideLog” watermark. Pro removes both limits — unlimited projects and the option to turn the watermark off. Everything else (materials, tools, wishlist, cost calculation, CSV/ZIP export, data import, pattern storage) is free regardless of plan.

Q. How does cost calculation work?

Link the materials you used to a project, and HideLog automatically totals the material cost from each material’s unit price. Add your labor hours and hourly rate, and it adds labor cost on top to give you a total project cost.

Q. What is the suggested selling price?

Based on your total cost, a margin multiplier (default 2.5x, adjustable in Settings), and your shipping cost, HideLog suggests a selling price that accounts for typical Etsy and payment processing fees. It’s a starting point for pricing handmade goods, not a guarantee of profitability.

Q. What happens to my stock when I complete a project?

When you mark a project as completed, HideLog automatically subtracts the quantity of each linked material from that material’s stock — so your leather and hardware counts stay accurate without manual recounting.

Q. Can I track leather-specific details like tannery and thickness?

Yes. When you add a leather material, you can record tannery, leather type (e.g. Chromexcel, Veg-Tan), thickness in oz, finish, and color, in addition to stock quantity and unit price.

Q. Where is my data stored?

Everything is saved locally on your iPhone. No uploads to the cloud or external servers.

Q. Can I purchase Pro anytime?

Yes. Open Settings in the app to purchase at any time. It’s a one-time purchase — no recurring fees.

Q. How do I restore a previous Pro purchase?

Tap Restore Purchases in Settings. Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID.

Q. Can I export or restore my data?

Yes, for free. Go to Settings → Data to export projects/materials as CSV, export a full ZIP backup (with photos and patterns), or import a CSV/ZIP previously exported from HideLog. Import appends data; free accounts stay limited to 5 projects.

Q. Can I sync across multiple iPhones or iPads?

Not at this time. Data is stored locally on each device only. Your data stays safely on the device you use.

HideLog は、レザークラフト愛好者向けの iOS アプリです。手持ちの革・素材の在庫管理から、裁断〜仕上げまでの工程記録、材料費・人件費を含めた原価計算、Etsy向け販売価格の目安まで、レザークラフトの管理に必要なことをひとつのアプリでまとめて行えます。スプレッドシートでの管理に限界を感じた方のためのアプリです。

保存したデータはすべてあなたのデバイス内に保管されます。外部サーバーへの送信は一切行いません。

主な機能

革・素材台帳 — 革・糸・金具・染料などについて、タンナー・革種・厚み（oz）・仕上げ・色・在庫量・単価・購入元を記録。登録数の制限なし。

Q. 無料版とProの違いは何ですか？

無料版は2点を除いてすべての機能が使えます。制限があるのは「プロジェクトの登録数（5件まで）」と「共有カードに常に透かしが入ること」の2つだけです。Proではこの2つの制限がなくなり、プロジェクト無制限・透かしON/OFF切替が可能になります。素材・道具・ウィッシュリスト管理、原価計算、CSV/ZIPエクスポート、データインポート、型紙保管などは無料版・Pro版どちらでも利用できます。

Q. 原価計算はどういう仕組みですか？

プロジェクトに使用した素材をリンクすると、各素材の単価から材料費を自動集計します。さらに作業時間と時給を入力すると、人件費を加算した原価合計が表示されます。

Q. 販売価格の目安とは何ですか？

原価・マージン倍率（デフォルト2.5倍・設定で変更可）・配送コストから、Etsy等の手数料・決済手数料を考慮した販売価格の目安を算出します。あくまで価格設定の出発点として利用できる目安であり、利益を保証するものではありません。

Q. プロジェクトを完成にすると在庫はどうなりますか？

プロジェクトを「完成」にすると、リンクしている各素材の在庫から使用量が自動で差し引かれます。革や金具の残量を手動で数え直す必要がなくなります。

Q. タンナーや厚みなど、革特有の情報も記録できますか？

はい。革を素材として登録する際、タンナー・革種（Chromexcel・Veg-Tan等）・厚み（oz）・仕上げ・色を、在庫量・単価とあわせて記録できます。

Q. 保存したデータはどこに保管されますか？

すべてあなたの iPhone 内（端末ローカル）に保存されます。クラウドや外部サーバーへのアップロードは行いません。

Q. Pro はいつでも購入できますか？

はい。アプリ内の「設定」画面からいつでもご購入いただけます。買い切りのため、一度購入すれば追加費用なくずっとご利用いただけます。

Q. 以前購入した Pro を復元するには？

「設定」画面内の「購入を復元」から復元できます。同じ Apple ID でサインインした状態でお試しください。

Q. データの書き出し・復元はできますか？

無料でご利用いただけます。「設定 → データ」から、プロジェクト／素材のCSV書き出し、写真・型紙込みのZIPバックアップ、または以前HideLogで書き出したCSV/ZIPのインポートができます。インポートは追記方式で、無料版はプロジェクト5件までの制限が適用されます。

Q. 複数の iPhone や iPad で同期できますか？

現在はローカル保存のみで、端末間の同期には対応していません。データはすべてお使いの端末内に安全に保管されます。
